We only drink distilled or bottled water. In Nevada, there is high arsenic levels in the tap water and everyone I know who drinks it, makes coffee with it or even cooks with it either has kidney stones or cancer.

I drink thoroughly boiled tap water. I boil tap water everyday, let it cool, then pour it in a pitcher for drinking. It's cheaper than bottled water, and safer than water straight from the tap. I live in Edmonton, Canada.

Filtered tap water (Brita pitcher). We used to double-filter (Pur on-tap filter + Brita pitcher) but the on-tap filter broke and we haven't bothered replacing it.

While I will tolerate drinking bottled water IF the bottle is a gift, I will not buy it ... I have a nice filter on my tap ... maintaining it costs me around 1¢ to 1.3¢ per litre of water, compared to a dollar for a 1 litre bottle ... ... Montreal, Canada ...
