It is kind of like an advocate, i am a keyworker to certain tenants and in charge of the whole building when on a night shift, it is good to have 2 different levels of responsibility

  • Medical student, and I think that medicine is the most interesting profession there is. Constantly changing, the sheer vastness and complexity of it, and you get to meet people from all walks of life. The fact that you really get to make a difference to people also is great, and I won't lie about the money being bad, unfortunately I'm still a student so I'm in debt for now.

  • Well, I am retired now. I worked as a substitute teacher since I was 18. But when I wasn't doing that I was at home raising my 4 children. While they are grown and gone now I do have my grandaughter and her 2 babies staying with me until she can get back on her feet. So I guess maybe I'm not as retired as I think I am!

  • I'm an eletricians helper. I learned it at the tech center while I was in highschool and this my first year out in the work force. lol honestly I don't care for it. A bit to cold for my tastes. I think the best part is talking smack to your co-workers, but you do learn alot about construction in all the fields so at least I will save a lot of money when I get my own house. I guess I will just have to sweat out till I start going back to school (community college).

  • Public Affairs Director at 2 radio stations. I line up and help interview guests who appear on the air. I also write, produce and screen public service announcements. In addition, I dj some music shows, edit and produce news and sports casts.
  • I work behind the scenes as a set dresser in the film and television industry.My responsibility is to assist in decorating sets,both exterior and studio sets.That is items that are not used by actors such as carpets ,drapes,and furniture.In exterior sets everthing that is used in street scenes.Sometiimes I work during shooting and change the background as needed.

  • I create and then facilitate the growth of web communities. I love my job. I love creating a website by turning a client's sketchy thoughts into an attractive and welcoming place, and I really love setting up the interactive parts and then seeing real people take my structure and make it their home on the internet. It's a fascinating job from day to day because every day is different, filled with different problems and different rewards. I get a real kick out of thinking up off-beat solutions that have never been tried before, ain't nothing better when they work! And it's not bad when they don't, because I learn from every failure a lot more in this job than in any I've ever had before. I love it when failure is also considered a step in the right direction.

We do many different things so it doesn't get boring... although right now I'm a stay at home mom for the year as I had a baby and in Canada we can get up to 1 year paid maternity leave.
