No, I don't think so. Unless there is some kind of lesson to be learned by telling the students of there personal experience. Otherwise, it should be left out of the classroom.

Nope. It is something I avoided like the plague. It's hard enough keeping the kids out of you personal life. You shouldn't divulge anything willingly.

I'm sure that would have been more interesting than what i learnt in school, but still, no i don't think that is appropriate :)

I doubt that much "teaching" would include if that's what the class involved. Thus they would be shirking duty, so no. Though I have a teacher who is bugging me because she's all depressed-like and I'm curious why.
