  • I'm the youngest child of the youngest child and I come from stock that is Not long lived.... I knew my maternal grandmother. That's it.
  • I knew and met my grandparents on both sides. Never knew, met or even heard talk about their parents or grandparents.

  • I never met any great grandparents. I was fortunate enough to have both maternal and paternal grandparents that lived for a long time.

  • I knew both of my maternal great-grandmothers very well growing up. I knew both of my maternal great-grandfathers, but they both died when I was in elementary school. I knew all four of my grandparents well. My maternal grandfather is still living at 84. My paternal grandmother died on Mother's Day this year at 92. I'm 46. I count myself lucky to have had all of them in my life.

  • I knew two of my great-grandparents as a child, and loved them both. My mom's mom's mom, and my mom's dad's dad. I was close with three of my grandparents (all except my mom's dad, estranged after a bitter divorce), especially my dad's mother.
