  • We came from monkeys not rocks, where they came from idk, fish, amoeba, primordial ooze etc, energy.
  • never heard that one before. who thinks that?
  • Reference please.
  • Propaganda. If it fits their believes, they believe it without questioning. If not, it has to be wrong. I´ve seen horrible propaganda videos (venomFangx on youtube, or Kent Hovind) that represent evolution as claiming that men came from rocks.
  • Well, the creationists claimed it was clay and the evolutionists just wanted to be different! :P What are people made of, besides water and carbon? A few minerals? Which ones? What are rocks made of? (Yes, I don't know either, except that most of the universe is made from 92 naturally occuring elements and that alot of what you find in people can probably also be found in rocks.) We eat plants and animals (and the animals eat more plants), so I guess it's fair to say we are made out plants. What are the plants made of? They take in water, carbon dioxide, sunlight, and whatever minerals they find in soil ... So here is another question: As the human population grows, more mass is being transferred into human beings. Where does that mass come from?
  • The Darwin theory has failed as scientists now know it is not possible humans from monkeys. So rocks are one of the oldest fossilised specimens which can maybe prove existence of life from water traces in rocks over millions of years. But scientists have ruled this out too as self generation does not only require water but also other particles which cannot be traced.
  • I watched a show on the science channel that explained a theory of these rocks that emitted oxygen into the atmosphere over millions of years. That the only thing I know of that you are referring to.
  • Well that should keep creationists a little content. They contend we came from really tiny rocks (dust).
  • If 9 out 10 (6 day) creationists believe that evolutionists come from rocks (Aquatic Eagle), I must keep running into the 10th. This is the a new goofabll idea, even from them. BUT, even in their error, they are probably right in a way. Either believers in evolution (self included) have to have life starting at a molecular level from minerals, or they have to accept a divine intervention creating life from scratch. BUT (again), creationists have man starting from clay, which is close enough to rocks for my books.
