Does Microsoft Word's paper clip helper have a name? If not, what would you call it?

I would call it Annoying. I prefer the Genius helper. It's much better behaved.

It's called Clippit. I would call it an absolute pain in the neck.

mine doesn't look like a paper clip any more, at least when I let it out to play, it looks like a robot. You can always go to help and choose hide office helper and it goes away till you want it to come back.

I saw a book on Word 2008 that said it was Clippy, and they dropped it because everyone hated it.
