Question

Help answer this question below.

Lets say I work Tuesday 7am till Thursday at 7am. I'm only getting paid from 7am till 10pm everyday. I have to sleep at work because they tell me it's part of the job and I'm not getting paid for those 9hrs. Is that legal in North Carolina?

I'm not sure if that is legal in the entire U.S., but if you are there as on call personnel and response time would be to long in your line of work if you went home in case of an emergency, I can see it (that's typical for doctors that take on call in the E.R.)
