I prefer personal input . . . but if it's better said on a specific website, then, by all means, post a link.

I would naturally prefer a personal answer, otherwise I would have Googled the topic myself. BUT, if someone wants or needs to show more than what they feel they can in the constraints of AB or wish to back up what claims or facts they provide, then I welcome a link.

Per the Answerbag "rules" when I signed up, you were to paraphrase the contents of links, not just post a link. I don't know if that has changed, but I doubt it. I want more than a link in the answer, personally.

Well linked answers have more detail in it and may be more accurate but on a personal input on a question, I can read someone's opinion on something.

I like personal information because it can get the point across JUST to answer the question. A link helps though if the person has a point that would be debated over, or is questionable. I like to see both in an answer, and I would definitely rate them up for it.
