  • There are something like 13 copies of the Magna Carta in existence from 1297 or before. The very original copy appears to have disappeared somewhere along the way. (It's believed copies were made for different areas in England.) In 1984, The Perot Foundation (I think that's the right name) bought one of the 13 copies and it's currently on permanent loan to the National Archives.
