If my read of your question is accurate, you have a computer to patch your iPod into but it doesn't have Windows XP on it.
Apple's iTunes for Windows works on both XP and Windows 2000.

get one of them cheep knock off ones from china. there only bout a tener and they are just as good . hope this helped.
If I transfer apps from one ipod to another, is there a way to also move the progress on the games so I dont have to start over?

I tryed to restore my ipod on the ipod but it kept going to recovery mode and repeating and itunes does not recognize it what do i do?

You're reading I got my ipod nano 1st generation stolen. I got a new 2nd gen nano. I don't have windows XP and the ipod didn't come with software. What should I do? Please think cheap.
