  • Liberrtarianism is a political philosphy which places strong emphasis on self reliance and abhors centralised power. In a Libertarian viewpoint, each person or family stands alone until and unless they decide to join in with others in a joint endeavour. Therefore compulsory taxation and police forces who enforce laws that [people did not intentionally sign up to are abhorrent. Individuals have the right, indeed the duty, to defent their family and property in whatever way may be necessary - and the corresponding duty to respect other people's lives and property.
