  • A lack of articulation. Lots of bullshit. Obama is doing better, maybe, it isn't over yet.
  • I think the moderator needs to be put in his place for treating the candidates like children. "Do you agree with Sen McCain and look at him when you talk to him".
  • Might as well be a puppet show.
  • There were some specifics that came up about each candidate that I wasn't aware of, but for the most part nothing new or enlightening (so far). Obama is a better speaker, but I don't think either one made any huge mistakes or came out looking worse than when they went in .... they aren't being too risky (so far). My vote hasn't been changed by this. I would be interested to hear if any undecided have become decided. I wish they would have gone into the health care issue more.
  • I think McCain is to busy patting himself on the back, he seems to only care about war, not ending, but continuing it, and I completely disagree with his viewpoints.
  • I was undecided but after listening to the debate I think Obama seems more in touch with 'the regular Joe.'
  • Obama looked more relaxed than McCain. McCain looked kind of nervous. I got bored with all of his war talk!
  • I am even more proud of Obama than I was! He handled himself wonderfully and stuck to the issues. McCain seemed all over the place.
  • I did and I wrote down every question and answer so that I can be clear about each candidates responses.I thought McCain was too pushy as he was adamant about his beliefs on the war. Obama was too kind. He should have pushed back. There was too much foreign policy and not enough about the economy for me. I will have many more questions when I have time to go over the material.
  • Obama rocked
  • I think it was a draw. No new information..McCain's spiel was regurgitated from his other speeches and Town Halls.."talking points"..that's all. What Obama said he has said before. Look forward to the next one..hopefully it won't be so full of "canned" material! Happy Saturday! :) ((hugs))
  • Obama made McCain look useless out there, I'm not even gonna lie. Since last night, I've been talking about this debate so much that I could break it down play by play, but thats what it all boils down to. McCain was sticking with war stories and "as president of the united states" crap. He reminded me of John Kerry, Obama chewed him alive lol
  • I didn't see all of it but McCain did a better job than I expected and Obama did very well. McCain is in a much more difficult position than Obama... BO2008!
  • Sorry she didn't like the debate format--if that's how she wanted it, she shouldn't have agreed to be there. Maybe someone should have explained that a debate by defination is discourse between two (or more) people, not a lecture to "the T.V. audience out there".
  • Very well, but less so than I expected. And it wasn't a debate at all. It was a question-answer session, with an obviously biased interveiewer asking the questions.
  • Hi Sweet... Evening! I think Obama won hands down. McCain needs to lay off and allow the issues to be addressed and stop making Obama waste his time in defence of nonsence. This is a crucial time and we as Americans have better things to do than to be forced to listen to a good man (with better things to talk about) constantly have to take a stand against blatent lies and misinformation for the sake of one mans vanity and greed. McCain is a politically informed man and for him to continously waste precious debate time splitting hairs in an attempt to manipulate and monopolize those of us who dont actually understand WHY Obama voted the way he did on key issues is deplorable and shameful! McCain KNOWs why Obama voted the way he did on certain things and he is using it to manipulate people by opnly telling half truths. Obama has not done this. He is above it and honestly interested in making a difference for the part of America that is suffering the most right now.
  • Obama-Where are the poor people going to get money to pay our penalty for not having health care? McCain-If the government will buy our foreclosure and give us a better rate, then what is stopping EVERYONE from not paying our mortgage?
  • obama, thank god
  • They are all robots.
  • On the boring scale, it was about a 6, IF you weren't listening well and paying close attention to the issues, for the topics and and individual stances were FAR more interesting than watching two "jokers" walk around on a red carpet with microphones chiding each other. Btw, I say "jokers" VERY respectfully, and I only say it due to the commonplace nature of seeing their faces and hearing their names as often as we have in recent past. :)
  • Sen. McCain can no longer, "win". The only way that McCain becomes President is if Obama "loses".
  • Both pretty much held to their points and neither were inspiring. The Biden - Palin debate was more interesting and maybe they should of had three VP debates and one presidential debate. I think no matter which side you are on, neither guy is going to persuade anyone enough to cross over to their side.
  • Obama but it wasn't a runaway.
  • Obama looked and sounded presidential. McCain looked and sounded small and petulant.
  • I am An Obama supported but i think it was a draw. The only problem is that McCain needed alot more then a draw. In a football game if your down by 10 in the 3rd quarter you can't afford to tie the rest of the game.
  • Advantage Obama.
  • I could flag you for this but i wont : ] *favor returned*
  • McCain came across to me as desperate and angry. He wandered all over the stage like he lost his walker and was looking for it. Obama seems cool under pressure and has a plan. He doesn't just say he knows how to fix this and has the experience to fix this. He says what he wants to do and how it can be done. At least that's how I see it.
  • McCain blew it and Obama was again masterful at saying a lot while actually saying nothing. In short nothing has changed. Our choices are McCain; more of the same or Obama; more of the same. When you really peel away the surface, they are not much different from each other. They both say what we want to hear and the one that gets elected will do whatever he pleases and the joke at the expense of the American people will continue as before.
