The first printer works at the rate of 1/20 job per minute; the second at the rate of 1/16 per minute.

Together they do ( 1/20 + 1/16 ) of the job per minute = (4/80 + 5/80) = 9/80 of the job per minute. To do the whole job will take them 80/9 = 8.89 minutes.
