No, why should I ask for help from something I don´t believe in? I would certainly hope that I could somehow get away, but this wouldn´t involve anything that´s considered supernatural.

No, I also wouldn't ask Bigfoot or the Tooth Fairy to help me either. I would, instead, use the time I have to try to figure out how to get out of the jam I ask for help according to the difficulty I'm in: if I'm emotionally troubled, I seek a therapist. If I'm in pain, I go to a doctor. If in financial trouble, I seek a finance person. If my house needs maintenance work, I hire a handy man. If my car breaks, I take it to the mechanic. And so on and so forth

The answers I got surprised me a bit! I'm an agnostic, and I've done it before!! Can't tell you whether those "prayers" were answered or not, but I got out of a situation or two, and not gotten out of others. Mixed results. Not sure what to make of those mini-experiments...perhaps I was just curious as to what would happen.

No. Firstly I don't believe in god(s) so I don't think it would do any good at all. Secondly, which god(s)? If I were to ask each and every deity it would take rather a long time. If I could survive that long I am fairly certain I would be able to find a way out of the problem myself.

Sure, but i would not rely on it!

In desperate situations, leave no stone unturned.

My first thought is, "it couldn't hurt." I'm an atheist, but if I knew that I was going to die, why not try. Then, after I thought about if for a while, I decided that I would probably not even think about it. The option of asking for help from someone that I don't believe in would most likely never cross my mind. Now, if I was terminally ill in the hospital, had several days to live, and someone suggested that I pray, I might. Like I said, it couldn't hurt.
