  • I don't know why every country or organization that has a conflect with Israel becomes a worldwide priority danger! There are many organizations out there that fight against other countries (P.K.K against turkey or Chechenis against Russia for example) but none of them are as famous as Hezbollah or Hamas/-
  • Of course it can recognise Israel. In a state-to-state relationship, the word "recognise" has a special technical meaning, which of course foes not apply to Hamas. But the word recognise has a much wider everyday meaning, from which the technical meaning is drawn, and Hamas can (and should) recognise Israel in this normal, everyday meaning. If it does supports the two state plan, it implicitly recognises (in the everyday sense) the two states concerned. If it means what it says, which can it not be consistent. At the moment, the two statements appear contradictory and thus each casts doubts on the other. It is difficult to negotiate with an entity whose statements do not make logical sense. And Hamas includes a political party, but is includes a lot more which make it closer to a state in the classical sense: an army and welfare organisation, for example. I don't believe the Democratic party has either of those.
