Help answer this question below.

I've been a Real Estate Agent for a year -- Now I want to open my own brokerage!! (BOSTON, MA).

I am going to get my brokers license. Does anyone know what to do next, as far as laws, licensing, fees, lawyers, trademarking a name, etc.?

    I am a RE Agent in MA. You have to have had your license for 2 years and activley working in the industry for 1 of those years with a firm. Take the test, pass it. Find a good Legal Defense Fund. Good Luck

    I used to be a salesperson a long time ago in N.Y. Back then you had to work for 2 years as a salesperson to take the brokers exam. If the laws are different in your state then what you need to do to find out for sure is call the Insurance Commisioner for the state that you live in and they can give you more detailed info, good luck.
