The reason why everyone hates Meg Griffin so much is because she a whiny, melodramatic, annoying, selfish wannabe loser. Whenever anything new, different, exciting, or tragic happens to The Griffin Family, she ONLY thinks about how those changes are going to affect HER. She treats the ONE boy who adores her like scum. She wants to be popular so much but she isn't willing to make the NECESSARY CHANGES to become popular, & when she finally DOES (@ the behest of her mother) it went to her head... BIG TIME! Or how 'bout that time that she was SOOO sure she was a lesbian! She had the perfect opportunity to try something new and different & she wussed out on it, which was odd considering the MASSIVE "girl crush" she has on Connie D'mico. She has her head so far up Connie's perfect butt that she might as well check for polyps while she's up there. (Yeah, I know it's an "Oblongs" reference. So what? You wanna fight about it?) The point is, Meg Griffin is, has, and always be hated not because of how she looks but because of the disgusting, trifling, despicable person within. Just looking her makes you sick. Ugh.

She's not part of the in crowd at school and her family tend to ignore her. Mila Kunis on the otherhand knows when she goes home she is still HOT.

Seth Macfarlane said that when he started Family Guy, the writing staff consisted primarily of young males, who felt that they just didn't know how to write lines for a teenage girl. They became increasingly frustrated until they decided to take that frustration out on Meg herself, and it became a running gag from there.
