My cat likes these dairy delight things. He will literally go completely crazy until you give him a few. Well I decided to see what all the fuss was about, so I tried one, and it tasted like a ritz cracker with no salt and way too much starch.

i bet when I was little because for some strange reason I know what it tastes like.

My niece used to shovel dog food in her mouth when I was babysitting her...it was scary and cute all at the same time.

Purina Hi Pro makes a great survival snack on cross country expeditions and sneaky little undocumented military maneuveres. That stuff is ham dandy when you have to travel light and still be nourished at a high caloric level.

When I was 8, we lived with my Mom's brother for a little while. My cousins and I used to sneak out in the garage and eat some of the "Purina dog chow" (dry). It WAS, actually, not half bad!

I once ate a dog biscuit that resembled an Oreo, if that counts.

It was not too bad. But I didn't feel too great afterward. Maybe it was just in my head.

My mom said she fed her little sister canned dog food, told her it was corn beef hash, she loved it. I can't seem to eat corn beef hash, even if I open the can..

Not on purpose, but I discovered the morning after I stumbled home piss-drunk that the nasty cereal I ate after I got home was cat kibble.

The place I buy our dog food has several bins of treats. And several of them are vegetarian. The woman that owns the place and I taste them everytime I go in.

I'm torn between the ginger one and the pizza dough one.

It was the early 60's and I was about 6 yrs old.

There were always Milk Bone Dog Biscuit commercials on TV, and those brightly colored, crunchy biscuits looked so good that I went a few houses down and parked myself next to the local dog's bowl, and ate a few. I loved them!

Recently I gave my dog some sort of biscuit and the Milk-Boney smell dragged me back through time as I closed my eyes, smiled and remembered.

(ps: I never did get to the 'gravy train' stuff - but once again, those reeeely hungry dogs attacking the kibble that was swimming in 'gravy' (?) shuuuure looked good to me, too!

Actually I have. Growing up we had a dog and we used milkbones for treats. Dogs went crazy for the stuff so I decided to taste one and see how good it was... I took a bite out of the 'chicken' flavored biscuit and after a few chews I had to spit it out and wash out my mouth. That stuff is NASTY.

My daughter was really being bratty one day so I had a momet of cruelty and offered her one of those cookies that look like real cookies in the pet store but are really dog treats. She sucked it up like a hoover and asked for more. Should have bought her a whole bag!

Personally I doubt I could ever get excited over the Kibbles and Bits, buts that just because I like human food better. ;)

No, I'd dare my friend cash to eat a milkbone though. No barfing or drinking water for at least twenty minutes afterwards & one spoonful of the canned wet food on top of it.

Yea, thats a great dare. :) So Paradefacade, you ready to eat the milkbone and spoonful of dog food?

Man that stuff is strong. Ever tried beef stock? It's like that but sort of tangy, with an after taste of a sort of papery meat. It tastes nothing like it smells. It isn't good.

This is a cat treat by the way.

You have inspired me to try another one. I'll name the brand and describe the taste, texture and smell of one type of dry dog food and one type of cat food, It shall be posted here this time tomorrow.
