The only book I've read, cover to cover in one sitting, was (and this is kind of weird, it was many many years ago, I was sick and in and out of the bathroom all night, plus I'd never heard of Steven King at the time) Salem's Lot. It helped to keep my mind off things, if you know what I mean. I still read King, along with many others; as a matter of fact I've recently started Lisey's Story, by King.

Chasing Darkest by Robert Crais. It is a part of the Elvis Cole series and I love them - a great mystery with an eccentric detective doing things his way.

It was called "toxic parents". It was written from an adult survivor of every kind of child abuse there is and as I read it i thought OMG this women was a fly on the wall in my house. She knew exactly what I felt, exactly how my parents had treated me, etc. I recommend it to anyone who has been abused my parents or who is in any kind of toxic domestic violence relationship. it is awesome

Right now it's American Gods by Neil Gaiman. (Lol, Gaiman.) It's so weird, and messed up, and the author's experience with graphic novels gives him an edge in the description of his characters. They're short and basic, and the rest is elaborated through their dialogue, which is very unique, and well done.

Also, Odin's raven telling the protagonist to f*** himself after he asks him to say "nevermore" lmao. XD
