yes tlkn lyk dis makes me think too hard so much easier to say what you mean!
-
Most of the time, yes.
-
Never..
-
I always do. Proper spelling, grammar, and sentence structure. People sometimes get mad at me.
-
Of course. I have a qwerty phone so it makes it easier to do, and I find that it's easier to understand people with proper English, and especially punctuation. It has become a habit for me.
-
Hell nah
-
i try but generally not
-
No, cause it takes up too many charectors.
-
Yea because its easier when your phone has a mini keyboard. But with the t9 texting I once had I used abbreviations.
-
No. I'm too lazy. I have a QWERTY keypad, and I still abbreviate.
-
Text..what's text?! lol
-
my phone dosent give me a choice, when i spell somthin wrong it fixes it haha
-
If i have the time to, i try to. But if i am in class or at work, i try to get the message out as quick as possible to not get caught =D
-
I do...I can't stand getting texts or texting that's not proper spelling and grammar. It's like a crazy OCD thing I have.
-
Stimes Bt nt al D'time 'pens on D'Person Bn TxT ,Y?
-
I don't text. Don't own a cell phone and proud of it!!
-
I rarely text, but when I do, I always try to use proper spelling and grammar. I'm not always successful, but I always try. I don't deliberately use "r u here" or something like that.
-
TOT (To Old to Text)
-
I hate texting, but when I do it is only with proper spelling and grammar. Or at least as much as I know. I am no English professor by any means. :)
-
I do- Pretty anal retentive huh ?
-
Usually. Sometimes I might use U instead of You. But I always check my spelling. Annoys the crap out of me when people don't check what they are sending before the send it. All my friends do this and I have to write back asking what they are trying to say because it makes no sense.
-
Always.
-
it takes me too long to use proper spelling and grammar ;)
-
I try very, very hard to do so. I despise "cyber-speak!" : (
-
I always do. When I'm chatting, I get a bit more lenient, but just a bit. no capitals, generally. Maybe a missing apostrophe, sometimes.
-
Call me a nerd, or Frasier (though i do enjoy watcing frasier!) But yes; Always.
-
I was a stickler for proper spelling and grammar when I first began, but over time I got lazy, which unfortunately has resulted in my spelling and grammar getting worse over the years in other areas (such as on this site).
-
yes, it annoys me to no end when you have to read a text 5 times to understand it.
-
wut r u talkin bout? No, just kidding. I usually try pretty hard to use proper grammar. If I say 'u' instead of 'you', It'll usually bug me so I'll go back and fix it. Sometimes I don't capitalize, but my phone usually does it automatically. Also, like someone already said, I will occasionally miss an apostrophe or something.
-
Most of the times I dont want a long correct text that you will get an hour later so I shorten it so I can send it faster even if it isnt correct. =P
-
Yes, I do. I text in complete sentences with correct punctuation.
-
Nope! and if someone bitches about it, then they're not getting anymore emails/texts from me. Often I do it while driving :) I know I know
-
Yes. I can't use the "spelling lingo".....it is not my style.
-
NNNNNNNOOOOOOOO
-
Yes! I try to be as grammatically correct as possible and try to avoid contractions like you= u, etc. I keep it short and to the point.
-
Yes. Except for contractions (you're=youre, can't=cant) and some capitalization.
-
Ah, fuggit. ;-)
-
I don't use it when I speak so why would I use it when I type? Im a grammar, spelling, typing and punctuation nazi's nightmare!
-
I do and require it of my kids as well. If I catch them shortening things up, I will take away their phone. They will thank me when they are adults and are one of the few people that can communicate correctly.
-
it depends
-
Depends on who I'm sending to.
-
yes, i try to...
-
yes because I am just like that
-
I'm kinda OCD about it. I even use italics and bold to emote.
-
no
-
Always. The use of so-called 'text-speak' is just lazy.
-
I try to but, sometimes mistakes do creep in like thieves due to a necessary evil called "hurry".
-
Don't text
-
Both my phones have keyboards, so there's no excuse for me not to.
-
no. i like using txt launguage!!! i can figure outmost things.
-
my phone has a keyboard, so yes i do
-
I make an attempt - trying to set an example.
-
for the most part yes. i dun tlk lik dis if dis iz whut u meen. i just find that more tiring then the actual words haha
-
Yes I do. I have a great respect for languages that have evolved over centuries. Squeezing and twisting words into sms 'lingo' is an insult especially since spellchecks and grammer hints are available on the handsets.
