I was given a 3day notice on friday and was told it was in effect on the 20th the day after i had given my two week notice in writing to the landlord. i am behind in rent b/c i hv szrs n wsnt able to wk. don't i have to wait on the offcl evtc notic b4 i g

    No. You can leave anytime. However, you are responsible for rent until the landlord re-rents or your lease term expires, whichever comes first. Thus, the sooner you leave, the sooner your rent liability could end.
