well for one thing... men get excited by seeing a woman's breasts and nipples... unless you live in some national geographic African place where women go topless all the time. It's just a culture thing. and men going topless who should not.. I don't know how to answer that, I prefer not to go topless as a man myself just because I don't like my body but I'll go nude around my wife at home all the time. I don't like going topless at the beach but I will when I go swimming.

Huh? It looks like you meant to ask one question, ans somehow mixed it with another. The social stigma around men and women going topless it a little silly if you ask me. I feel that any place a man is legally allowed to go topless, a woman should be able to go topless also. Though nipples and breasts on a woman are considered more of a sex object than a man's chest, they are, after all, just as natural. I suppose that the rules regarding toplessness were written by men from lonag ago. In the days that the laws were written, any woman being presented publicly nude was either part of some burlesque show, or was a prostitute. Afterall, in those days, any self respecting woman would not be caught dead even revealing her legs in public. Since those laws were written, people have always taught their children that public nudity is bad, especially on a woman. Through the times, men going topless has been accepted, but women are still considered pure and sacred. Revealing a woman's breasts in view of complete strangers simply has not been accepted by the American public. Without a doubt, I feel that the laws regulating a woman's right to take off her shirt are about as rediculous as the ones in some states that prevent the sale and/or possession of sex toys. Why prevent a person from buying or owning a dildo? Society as a whole needs to rearrange priorities. I couldn't tell you how many men I've seen walking around with no shirt on that make me wretch and and vomit in my mouth. If a giant, furry man with double D's can show them to the world, why can a woman of any build?

I think it is totally wrong on all levels that men have the right and privilege of being able to go topless and women do not. I am not happy about it. Laws should be created equally .. for both men and women :)

i think thier is a leval of intimitcy that we created from a womans breast. the whole babys life force and male arousalment thing.

I agree with James. I think we created the society where womens breasts are looked upon as a sex symbol rather than what they were intended for. Do I as a male get turned on by looking at womens breasts? Yes. Why? Because it is natural? Because it has been "taboo" forever? Just because they are kept hidden? I dont know the right answer. But I have never went topless in public or in the yard, not even as a child. In my home, sometimes, but not outside. Hope this helps.

I will answer this from Hindu philosophy point of view. Man is designed with Bahir Jananendriya (external generation organ) and woman is designed with Anthar Jananendriya (internal generation organ). Bahir also means that which can be exposed to air or light, and Anthar means the opposite. Philosophically speaking, these concepts can be extended to the whole body. Majority of people grasp these concepts subconsciously. In ancient Rome, male athletes used to participate in sports with naked body in many sports. Men to participate in all sports with half naked body is a norm in many countries of the world since ancient times. So is for men to do farming or other heavy work. Physiology says that the lung area of men is larger than that in women. Even when relaxing after heavy work, most men feel like exposing their chest to open air.

Oh yes I agree 100% if women are made to keep them covered then so should a man. And no I am not just saying that because I feel women should expose their breast. But I can say that if they do I won't be turning away ;P
