what, you all want to declare bankruptcy and not expect to pay for it in the long run? someone has to pay for it,,, maybe we can invade Iran, and make them our slaves to work off the debet....

I think it's a load. Unfortunately, I think it is actually needed. At the point we are at now our economy could actually collapse. I wish there was a better option though.

I don't think it is fair to those of us who sacrificed to be honest in our commitments.I,for one, haven't been able to even think about taking a vacation or overnite trip, for over 18 years.I am w/o family to help, but I am proud to say that all my debts are paid & up-to-date.Fortunately,I worked 3 jobs at a time when my health was better & I was MUCH younger.I am able to keep my bills paid by living within my budget & not asking for help or depending on anyone else.It seems as tho'my friends are enjoying travel but I can't figure out their system of paying for all these extras that I,too, would enjoy.I am over 70 & STILL have to be frugel.I opted NOT to have a credit card until the last few years, when I needed it to get my meds by mail. These days,it appears as tho'the young people don't want to work, but act as tho' their parents or the gov.owes them a living. No,I am NOT having the FUN I desire, but I HAVE to live modestly & pay my own way.My credit is 100% good,& I could probably borrow enough to take a cruise or fly in high style-but I realize that my age is against me,in getting any loans paid off.-Since,I pay "MY" way,why should "I" have to pay taxes to bailout others that are young & lazy?
