It is certainly possible. Your symptoms do seem related to the withdrawal of it, however, they could be co-incidental and unrelated to the same. Please talk to your doctor about this .. he/she will best be able to advise you.
Codeine (INN) or methylmorphine is an opiate used for its analgesic, antitussive and antidiarrheal properties. It is by far the most widely used opiate in the world and very likely most commonly used drug overall according to numerous reports over the years by organizations such as the World Health Organization and its League of Nations predecessor agency and others. It is one of the most effective orally-administered opioid analgesics and has a wide safety margin. It is from 8 to 12 percent of the strength of morphine in most people; differences in metabolism can change this figure as can other medications.

i think it would be a good idea to seek another opinion and i'd be double checking those 2 medications don't interact with each other.

yeah i was thinking of going back and seeing my own gp as opposed to a locum, like he was, but im worried she'll just say the same as him and have a go at me, so im a bit reluctant to.

your own gp should be more understanding, but if not, just tell her you are concerned and though you are happy to discuss your other medication at another time, you have more important things to discuss at this consultation.

hmm true. i may try that. i have to go into hospital on friday, so i dont know if i will get chance to see her before that. and last time i saw her, she wasnt particularly nice to me. its just making me think that they all want me to feel worse, and are doing it all deliberately because theyre out to get me. thankyou for your help though :)

You're welcome and I hope it all goes well for you on Friday
