Tax question: Is it more to our advantage to be married? Combined income $70,000.00 per year. Have a mortgage and about $4,000.00 medical expenses per year.

    It used to be that singles paid more. Now you are subject to the "marriage penalty".

    Just hire a good accountant and you two will be fine. ;-)
