If you met some guys from a band who were TOTAL jerks, but then you heard their music and it sounded good, would you like the band or not?

    Yes. I think that has to be separated. Axl Rose, for instance, is a total ahole but I think he has a great deal of talent.

    I'd like their music and avoid their personalities.

    Unless they were such overweening aholes that I couldn't get through a concert without wanting to kick their a$$es...then I could and would live without them and their music.

    Yes but if I went to a live show I wouldn't want to be backstage with them or interact with them much.
