Help answer this question below.

I adopted a cat and am trying to get it used to my other cat. they are the same age and females, but the one we've owned for a while shows serious anger towards the new cat. i know about territory, but what are the chances that will get along eventually?

    I have introduced lot of cats to each other over the years. Sometimes they get along right away and sometimes it takes a while. Usually I just leave them to it and watch so they don't actually fight. There will be a lot of growling but after a whle they sort out their pecking order and get along just fine. BE PATIENT!!! It will happen

    it takes a while. both me and my husband had a cat each when we first met. when we moved in together it was hell for a while. they had to sort out how was boss etc. they put up with each other now and still have there spats. it takes time and patience. sometimes separating them for time out works to. they are like having children, they will fight or get along or both.

    Hi, i used to be an animal behavior specialist for a animal shelter... anywho, most of the time it takes awhile for them to get along but after awhile they will be okay with each other, fights may happen, to determine dominance. they may never become bets buds but most likely in time they will become friends as long as you give them both equal attention.. they should be happy. :) also try playing with them both with a string or something attracting both cats on both sides and let them begin to play with them selfs together and it seems to help with the bonding process. unless the other cat is a dominat cat also.. no problems!! : )\
