I also found two of these recently in my Maryland home. After much research I found it to be Triangulate cobweb spider. Look it up .. see if it resembles your spider.
The Hobo spider is pretty common in the NW US. The Hobo is in the 1st pic.
They do bite, so be careful around this one. You can read up about them on Wikipedia.
The brown recluse is very rare in your location, but here's a pic (2nd pic) just in case. Of course this is probably the most dangerous among US spiders. I'm not sure about you're sort-of-diamond shape.


I have spiders all over my house I use raid and hot shot but that only lasts for so long any suggestions?

I have no problems with small spiders on webs. It\'s the brown ones that scuttle around the basement floor that really get me.

You're reading Med. size dark broun spider with lighter brown diamond on its back not a solid diamond. In Portland OR, in my seller. what kind is it?
