  • You don't, so long as you don't eat or sleep there.
  • Non Muslims can enter a mosque with permission. The caretaker will be happy to give you a tour of the mosque.Officially only the area of Masjidil Haram in Mecca are forbidden for the non muslim to enter; that would also include the mosques within the perimeter. There are a few mosques within some muslim countries that forbid non muslims from entering but these are only isolated cases.Should you still have problems entering, consult the mosque committee or the caretaker. They will brief you on when to enter, what sort of attires to wear, where to seat while prayers are taking place and how to participate in their religious classes.
  • its about respect.
  • You don't have to be one. Just ask.
  • That is not true. A non-muslim can be allowed into a mosque(masjid). The reason for this is: What if they are trying to learn about Islam or are taking the Shahadah.
  • This is not true. I went with a college classmate of mine this evening to her mosque, they had a big meal to break the fast for the evening. I wasnt restricted on where I could enter (except for the parts of the mosque that are for men only. I was very enlighten and may attend again as I have been wanting to learn more about the islamic faith. It is my understanding from my friend and her brother who I have taken classes with both that muslims want non muslims to learn about and embrace the islam religion. So going to a mosque is a good way to do this.
