  • You can do but you may find it achey to move your arms the next day! Some people prefer to work opposing groups on different day so that they can concentrate on just one side, then when they are resting that side to allow it to repair and grow, they work the opposing side. Others split workouts by body region, so they may do all arm one day, chest and back another, legs another. It is up to personal preference. I do my triceps on the same day as my chest so that I can do bench presses to work both at the same time rather than small isolation exercises which are proven to have less muscle mass building effect. I do my bulk of my biceps work a different day. I have tried to do one day triceps then the next day chest before and those bench presses were incredibly difficult and hurt like hell. You aren't giving enough time for muscle repair.
  • Yes, but if you're serious about you gains I wouldn't reccomend it. The point of a 'split' is that it keeps the muscle groups seperate from each other. Imagine blowing your triceps away in one session and then showing up two days later to hammer your chest, the pectorial muscle just won't fuction the samen if the tricep is fatigued it can't push the same amount of weight, so by keeping these muscles separate you offer them time to recover and get stronger. Does this make sense? I hope this helps.
  • Depends if you work your legs for thirty minutes then something else on your body then your arms for thirty minutes it's ok. I worked as a womens fitness trainer for a long time and they say it is perfectly fine you should just have a break in between the two. Hope that helps.
  • yeah i do both everyday ..i used to do weights and do 500 pushups a day .now im a littel older and my joints are hit ..lol i cant keep up with what i used 2 and its hard on your arms ..i would think u should do them separate times of the day so it doesnt tweak your arms out.will help later on in life if u want to do the sme workouts as you used 2.
