I have bought clothing, toys, and books on ebay. Oh yeah, and I bought some DVDs on ebay, and had them shipped directly to my brother when he was in Iraq. One guy didn't charge me for shipping since it was to someone in the military. Anyway, I digress...I have bought CDs and other DVDs online for my S.O. I also have bought other books and toys for nieces/nephews and friends' children, on Amazon.com or other similar sites.

I would say a large percentage of what I purchase is online, maybe between 50 and 75%? It's hard to estimate, because I of course do this more during the holiday season. I purchase online for both reasons: to save money and for the convenience. However, I would say it's a bit more for the convenience. I get presents for my S.O. delivered to me at work since I can't really get them delivered to me at home or my S.O. will see.;)

[ETA}: Thanks for the question, actually, since you reminded me that I have to purchase one thing for my S.O. on Amazon.com.:)

I buy almost all of my electronics online. It's convenient, the selection is better, and the prices are almost always lower than at a store.

I buy everything online that I also buy real-world. I've bought food from specialty items to ordering pizza. I've bought CDs, DVDs and books through various online resources (like Amazon and Half.com). I've bought shoes and clothing, because I can usually find great deals on sites like zappos.com and eBay. I've bought a computer online as well as various upgrades for it and other machines I have, from companies like tigerdirect.com. I've gotten toys for my nephews through Amazon and eBay and toysrus.com. Personally, I haven't bought any appliances online, though my sister has through her husband's General Electric employee discount program in association with BestBuy.com.

I absolutely LOVE shopping online, because where I currently live, I cannot always get access to the latest styles and trends in clothing and shoes that I want to buy. I'm also a born bargain hunter; when I see something that I would like to buy, I'll research the best prices online before even (or ever, sometimes) going to a store. Even auctions have piqued my interest online, like they never have in the real world.

I know it's not for everyone, but I absolutely LOVE shopping online. I think it has only enhanced the whole marketplace, consumer-driven culture that we live in, for me.

I shop for convenience, for bargains, for product availability, and mostly, because it has become just another way to get what I want.

Yes! I mainly buy perfume, because it's always cheaper than the department stores. I do it to save time and money.

    www.strawberrynet.com
    www.perfumania.com
(google codecoupons for that site and you'll find a list coupons to use with each purchase)

I have bought just about everything that you can purchase online. I comparison shop and find the best prices. I don't spend hours in stores looking for a product that doesn't exist. I don't waste gasoline and contribute to the pollution levels by driving anymore than is necessary. I think it saves me money and it's more convenient and "greener" to shop online.
