Sorry mate, I think you are trying to live the impossable dream. To read every book written in English alone, would take several life times. However, to improve your memory skills is not out of the question, whether you will be able to re-call what you have read in hundreds of books, I don't know? Go to any good second hand book store and you will find hundreds of books to improve your memory. My first choice would to buy a good book on how to learn self hypnosis. Once you are able to hypnotise yourself, you should be able to re-call anything in your life experence. Then start reading all you can about different subjects and you should be able to re-call most things you have read. After reading and learning self hypnosis, my next choice of book would be, learnig speed reading, in speed reading, it teaches you to read very fast, by not taking in words that mean very little like, to, the , etc, yet you will be able to make sense of what you are reading. Hope this helps you some what?

There isn't any truly "photographic" memory. Eidetic memory (the technical term) won't let you remember every detail of a photograph, but you'll remember every word on a page--for a while. Then you'll do a data dump and remember more recently read material. Same thing with speed reading. Sure they can go through a book faster than I can, but they don't remember the contents as long. Just remember these two words: Data dump. What you're wishing for is science-fictionish, is called Renshawing, and is probably impossible. Set your sights on something that can actually be accomplished.

  • You are out to lunch for life. First of all, you have no clue as to what a photographic memory even is, so how can you even try to use tools needed to develop one. Next, there is no way to answer every question, except to use common sense and answer it. If you don't know an answer, look it up on the internet, or "duh! maybe you don't have the life skills necessary to get involved in answerwing a personal question.

But, anyway, read the Silva Mind Control series and you are on your way to developing memory and more.

I read the other comments on this page and besides frank peters its clear the commenters don't know what they're talking about.

"There isn't any truly "photographic" memory."

Really then how does Stephen Wiltshire draw every intricate detail of a massive and complex city like Tokyo from memory after having flown over it only once?

In my honest opinion thats not an impossible dream at all. Look up Kim Peek. Also I recommend searching "the boy with the incredible brain" in google videos. Don't let feeble minded naysayers sway you either. As Einstein said "all great spirits encounter violent opposition from mediocre minds". Your clearly a free thinker to have decided to do this. Personally I've seen it for myself the brain remembers EVERYTHING. Its just a matter of being able to access the memories. When I'm heavily sleep deprived I hear voices and these voices bring up the smallest most insignificant little things I heard someone say, or saw or thought about years before. I would have never recalled these little things if the voices hadn't brought them up. I think most people these days severely underestimate the capabilities of the human brain. I'm mildly autistic and I already have photographic memory the only problem is I don't have very good visualization skills as ironic as that is. I've never been to a hypnotist but I'm thinking with hypnosis I can induce a vivid imagination in myself then I would really be a genius.
