What is the origin of the cliche' "I beg to differ"? Extra points if you have good comments on how it might possibly have a connection to AB.

    Well I am not sure on the origin of the idiom, but it means to disagree. It has to do with AB because there will be many people who disagree. "A polite way of saying that you disagree with something that someone has said." http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/I+beg+to+differ%2Fdisagree
