Help answer this question below.
They travel by air much more than the average person.
And not always the safest planes or helicopters.
Athletes have been victims also. 37 members of Marshall University's football team were killed.
There was a movie about it 'We Are Marshall'.

It's all a big conspiracy.
Country music fans service their planes. ;-)
They fly frequently, and fly in circumstances that other people wouldn't - largely due to arrogance. For example, Aliah and several others died in a crash because she insisted on taking too much in a small plane. There was more weight on board than the plane could handle. The situation was so dangerous that the first pilot refused, so she had to go find another pilot.
I'm guessing the first pilot is glad he refused.
that buddy holly story was interesting...
lynyrd skynyrd died in a crash? :| They played a concert in my town LAST NIGHT! wtf...
And Aaliyah.. I miss Aaliyah :/
The link did not work. I think you are talking about this story:
"Hours after performing for thousands of South Carolina college students, former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and celebrity DJ AM were critically injured in a fiery Learjet crash that killed four people, authorities said Saturday.
Officials said the plane carrying six people was departing shortly before midnight Friday when air traffic controllers reporting seeing sparks. The plane hurtled off the end of a runway and crashed through antennas and a fence. It came to rest on an embankment across a five-lane highway and was engulfed in flames, said Debbie Hersman, a member of the National Transportation Safety Board.
Barker and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were in critical condition at a burn center in Augusta, Ga., about 75 miles southwest of Columbia, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said.
Two other passengers — Chris Baker, 29, of Studio City, Calif., and Charles Still, 25, of Los Angeles — died, as did pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., and co-pilot James Bland, 52, of Carlsbad, according to the county coroner. Baker was an assistant to Barker and Still was a security guard for the musician."

Again, a very sad story.
Rock stars are just traveling around more than the rest of us, that would be a reason.
there are plenty of non-rockstars who get into plane crashes, its just never reported. While famous people fly as much as a few times a week and typically they are the small, personal aircraft.

The only reason I can guess is that they fly more often than most other jobs. But still....
Has anyone here EVER known a NON-rock star who died in a plan crash? I sure haven't.
Who was Bernardo's friend in"West Side Story"?
