  • It swept me off of my feet and convinced me to elope. Well, that too, but the main reason is that I love writing. Nothing else gives me the same feeling of accomplishment and creative expression. I can't see myself doing anything else.
  • when i was about 2 or 3 i used to write real crappy books, but when i turned 7 i started my goal to be the best author every, the one to publish the most books . i am now writeing on about 5 and working for alout more. even though im only 12 i will reach my goal no matter what gets in my why.
  • I've always had a need/want to express myself through writing. I think I started to read Stephen King when I was in Jr. High School, and realized that not all books came from people who were dead. I started writing then...but then gave it up about five years ago (I was about 34). Recently I suffered a back injury (two herniated discs in my back) and had to go onto disability. Absolutely hated it. There is only so much crossword puzzles, Suduko, cross stitch, computer games, TV, and scrapbooking one can do before you start to lose your wits. I had an idea from five years ago that I still loved - still loved the idea, the story...and started writing again. Eight weeks after starting it, 44 chapters and over 113,000 words later I'm working on the last couple of chapters. I hope to be done with it today - and I return to work next week. While it SOUNDS like it's a great feat to write 113,000 words in two months, believe me - it was that or lose my mind from sheer boredom. It was a great process to go through...and the longest single piece of work I've ever done. Of what I've written, it is very raw and I'll need to go through a re-write, of course (only God gets it right the first time)...but I hope to get published some time in the future. I've also got two other story ideas, I hope to start working on (one at a time) once this story is done. When I return to work, my plan is to keep writing. Even if I'm never published - it's a great craft...if anything you get to learn more about yourself than you knew before.
  • I became a writer because I like the thought of making my own world or creatures or what not. I started writing when I was 5, not great books but decent and now at 11 I'm really just trying to do the best that I can. My big goal is to become a famous writer and have writing as my job.
