  • I don't know about your neck of the wood, but here it was in the first week of March.
  • Where i live it was back in 1984!
  • In 1994, I moved to Wilkes-Barre, Pa. I had lived on Long Island my whole life, where I thought I'd seen some pretty bad winter storms(1977-78 comes to mind) I lived in a set of row houses, on the first floor, where I had a sloping backyard with a 10 ft high deck with steps leading up to my apt. 2 weeks after I moved there, I woke up one morning wondering why it was so dark in my room. I had windows onto the alley between the two houses, which probably would have been basement windows, but because of the slope were about 6 feet off the floor of the alleyway. I went to my back door, and opened it to find that 7.5 feet of snow had fallen, and I was completely snowed in. I had to go through a crawlspace and into the shared storage space to a little dumb waiter size door, knock on it, and get let into the upstairs neighbors apartment, to be let out on the street level. The street was a wall of snow. I was mightily impressed.
  • The one that comes to mind was Feb 93. 14 inches.
  • Last winter. The snow was so bad here that a snow emergency was declared, the kids had a week off from school, and they had to close sections of two different highways because of drifting snow. That's the worst it's been here since the ice storm of '96.
