Of course you can. People get addicted to things that are enjoyable and make them feel good. Especially if there are underlying issues. I am sure there are plenty of people out there who use McDonalds as comfort food and that can be an addiction. Besides, have you ever smelled those fries!!!!????

    Maybe.
I think they might just spray some nicotine on the fries.
    And call it, "salt".

Well technically, it is not possible. However, psychologically, it is possible that someone is more satisfied with McDonald's food. However, I don't think anyone would be able to enjoy McDonald food daily.

I've wondered about that. I don't eat McDs very often but when I do I feel sooooooo good after, content, passive, and happy, almost a dreamy state. Same for KFC.

Yes. I've seen it. An entire family. reasonably well-educated and comfortably middle-class, all hopelessly addicted to McDonald's. Several meals there a day. For years. Why? The couple were fed it as kids and find it comforting and reliable. Their children are now addicts too. The result? Both mom and dad are overweight. The mom is the heaviest and is about 40 pounds overweight. The dad has liver problems and diabetes. The older child is considered obese at 9 years old and is going through puberty early because of her extra weight. They are not happy with their bodies or their health but they do not feel they are able to change nor in the end do they really want to. I expect the mom to become diabetic before she is 40. The dad is already diabetic and must take meds for that and his liver disease.

So yes. You can be and yes, it may kill you.

I agree you could get addicted to Macca's. Maybe it would indicate a psychological disorder whereby a person must eat or do the same things every day - kind of like autism or Asperger's - so there are no surprises! I have a nephew who has Asperger's, and he eats stuff in rotation....
only breakfast cereal for a whole week, only his grandmother's home-made meatloaf with tomato sauce for a whole week etc. One Christmas he refused to sit with the rest of the family, and sat on his own in another room with a bowl of dry macaroni! If a person would only eat McDonalds, maybe it is because they feel safe there and can anticipate exactly what everything is going to taste like - no nasty surprises!

I think so, watch a movie called "supersize me" heres the plot excerpt, this guy ate nothing but McDonalds for 30 days

Why are Americans so fat? Two words: fast food. What would happen if you ate nothing but fast food for an entire month? Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock does just that and embarks on the most perilous journey of his life. The rules? For 30 days he can't eat or drink anything that isn't on McDonald's menu; he must wolf three squares a day; he must consume everything on the menu at least once and supersize his meal if asked. Spurlock treks across the country interviewing a host of experts on fast food and an equal number of regular folk while chowing down at the Golden Arches. Spurlock's grueling drive-through diet spirals him into a physical and emotional metamorphosis that will make you think twice about picking up another Big Mac.

No. I don't believe you can. It's definitely not addictive like cigarettes and alcohol. You can crave it, that's it. It doesn't contain anything that makes you addicted.
