Our assigned temple is Chicago. It takes about three hours to get there, but the traffic on the way home generally makes the return trip between 5-6 hours.

About twenty minutes unless traffic is horrible. I'm in the Twin Cities. We used to be in the Chicago district, pretty building, and same plan as Boise and Dallas (though very different colors inside).

I used to live 15 minutes (on foot!) from my assigned temple. I moved for my career, now it's almost 15 minutes away by car (45 minutes the week before General Conference, though).

I am not Mormon but there is one very close to us...0.2 mi – about 57 secs...according to Google Maps.

I live in Orange County California. I am right in between the Los Angeles Temple and the San Diego Temple, but they just opened the Newport Beach Temple which is very close. They also have the Redlands Temple which is not too far either. It's like we are almost in Utah with so many temples nearby.
