  • they are called therapy pets..maybe this site will help. www.caaainc.org/aboutcaaa.htm .contact them and maybe they can lead you. I couldn't find the exact law but I bet they can help It is also a law here in AR and in WA. you may have to contact a place that does services for the disabled and they may be able to help too.
  • I would venture a guess that that's bullcrap. As a landlord for my own property, I'm entitled to charge whatever I want for rent for pretty much any reason that I want. If I rent a place for $500 a month to one person, I'm allowed to charge the next guy $1000. For no other reason than to make more money.
  • HUD regulation require that use the HUD program to provide low cost housing to the disabled cannot charge pet fees for Service Animals, or animals deemed necessary for the persons well being. All that is needed is a letter from that persons Doctor stating such. Any disabled tenent have a pet that does not meet the above conditions can be charged a 'pet fee'.
