Legos. I loved Legos.
DIRT!
That's all there was back then and we LIKED it! Didn't need anything else, at least until winter came and all the dirt froze.
And then it was SNOW! And snow was GREAT because we got to walk 10 miles up hill in the snow to school every day just so we could turn around a few hours later and walk another 10 miles up hill in the snow to get back home. And this would last until all the snow melted.
And then it was MUD! And mud was great because it had all the benefits of dirt PLUS you could cake it together and make mud pies and have mud fights!
Ah, yes...THOSE were the days!
My barbie dolls:)
I loved the Slinky..it mesmerized me! :)
Fisher Price A-frame doll house.
Coloring books galore.
A Spudsie Hot Potato.
Baby dolls....back in those days if you were a little girl it was very common to mimic your mother....when I was in elementary school then it was rockem- sockem robots, easy bake oven, electric football (where the players ran in circles...usually), creepy crawling insects (the hot plates you would make rubber insects)...
A Spirograph set (I still have an original set).
I had a rocking horse that I practically lived on. He gave me hours of enjoyment and my parents hours of relief. I bet I rode hundred of miles a day.
Well,.... I played with rocks....
Tonka trucks.
A fisher price treehouse.:)
Toy solders.
Dolls and a pink teddy!
I deal in antiques and every now and again I come across a stupid toy that I had when I was a kid and I just have to buy it, if not just to have it again for a little while.
The last thing I found was a REMCO baby doll called "Tiny tears." She fit in the palm of your hand and was the very first baby doll that cried when you fed her a bottle and pressed the button on her back.
Other than that, being the product of a predominately male producing mother and having 5 older brothers... I got mostly hand me down crap that I had absolutely no use for.
Stacking and stacking and stacking blocks :D
Transformers man...and i still do
Those paper dolls you used to get that you pushed out of books, they had paper dresses etc that you put on them, oh i loved them!! and of course shaker maker.
I remember a black-haired blue-eyed baby doll and this clock and phone the most from pre-school days.

the memories i love it. i had one of the first beani babies(this is 30 yrs ago)and a ceramic tea set
I would have to say that beating up my sisters was my past time....;)
I grew up with two older brothers who had a fasination with fire and they would often burn and destroy my toys to satisfy their addiction. One of the many toys that ended up as a pile of bubbling goo was a safari adventure set. It was a jeep, a couple of action figures, a lion and a cage. I loved that stupid thing, slept with it, bathed with it, watched it go up in smoke...
+5 it was this thing you pushed and it had little balls in the bottom part in a thick plastic globe, the balls would bounce and make tons of racket when pushed.
square wooden blocks with the letters on it
dirt, sand, and rocks. I also had a bike
The fat happy "little people." The weebles, Barbie... Only mine were always in some way altered... usually surgically but mostly cosmetically. Most of the old school playskool houses... like the farm set and the house with the ringing doorbell.
busy ball choo choo
The big three:
Legos, tinkertoys and Tonka trucks!
I was mad about barbies
That was so long ago, I don't remember! I'll have to ask my mom and get back with ya on this one!
I vaguely remember playing a lot with Lincoln Logs. If you don't know what those were, ask! LOL!
Major Morgan
Snoopy Dog! He was this black and white long wooden dog with long floppy leather ears that could be pulled on a string. His legs were attached to the wheels which made him look as if he was walking/running. I think he made some kind of noise. I took him with me EVERYWHERE!! I LOVED my Snoppy Dog!!!
Marvel the Wonder Horse!
one of those plastic lawnmower things with the bouncing beads.
That didn't last long. low tolerance for noise in the house.
We had some foam blocks (nerf-like...hmm...softer even, actually) and you could push em together and make a "bed" or stack them high, and when they toppled down, no one got hurt!
What was the first nerf ball?

In my toddler days. I had Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, and Erector Sets.
I guess I pre-date the discovery of plastic ... LOL.
Thanks, Sixty.:)
