I don't mind long road trips, provided that there is good music to listen to and/or good company, and provided that they are not REALLY long. I used to like road trips when I was little, since my family was the branch of our family that moved out of the state where we were all born, so to visit our relatives was usually 2 to 4 hours each way. That's not that long, but there are other times when I've driven 5 or more hours to get somewhere. In that case, for me it gets tiring and towards then end I get anxious to just arrive already. Also I might not want to stop as much as who I'm with, because I just want to get there. So I guess the answer is no, to REALLY long road trips. Somewhat shorter road trips are fine.

I love road trips. On my to-do list of fun stuff is a road trip for which there is no ultimate destination. Just everywhere!

OMG, that is what i LOOOVVVEEE to do. Travel!!

espcially "road-tripping" its just a great feeling, its the feeling of freedom, just you and the road watching sunrises and sunsets, getting to see what other states look like.

Its nice to see how the accents change from state to state, in my opinion the longer the trip the better.

i've driven 27 hours , 24 hours, 21 hours and 18 hours, and i do most of the driving when i go with people and i actually dont mind it.

Its a really cool feeling, and its a great experience, i think everyone should do it. i mean SURE you get to your destination faster in plane, but the seats are uncomfortable, and you probably get stuck sitting next to someone you dont know and you have to ask him/her to get up every time you want to use the bathroom and you dont get to listen to music, it is more expensive, and should i even mention having to be there 3 hours early anyways because of security and all that stuff??.

Roadtrips, trust me, take them... and when you, load up on CD's and Redbull.

I do. My parents were missionaries, and we travelled so much, it got to the point that if we were in one place too long, we felt like renting a U-haul, moving across town, staying in a motel, then moving back in again.

Freedom, man! Ya gotta love it. I always offer to drive, but am the worst driver in the world. Sometimes I win this argument, but even if I'm in the back seat, I still enjoy myself. Living out west is the best: driving from one western town to another, from snowy alpine to ocean front to arid desert. I just LOVE THIS COUNTRY. My favorite towns to drive to/ in or around: Mohab, Utah; Chicago, Illinois; San Jose, California; Cornwall, England; Mount Rainier, Washington; Alpine Colorado.... On and ON and on.

I adore long road trips. Being behind the wheel of my car is where I feel most at home. I even love getting lost! Usually I make a lot of playlists for the drive, plug my iPod in and I'm set for HOURS at a time. :-)

I love road trips - especially the ones where you get lost and have to stay overnight somewhere new or remote, then get up and find your way back.. Honestly though, I only like roadtrips when I'm alone or with Hubby. I don't like roadtrips with kids - it's miserable.

I actually HATE them. I can barely sit still to watch a whole movie. I also feel like I need someone to periodically check me for bedsores. Too much sitting in traffic!

Put me on a plane or train where I can walk the aisles and annoy.

I do, I do! I always travel from Georgia to Philly - not "always," maybe 4 times out of the year, lol- but it's the best trip. It never gets old or boring and I love all of the sightseeing.

I love road trips-- especially off the interstates. I have driven from New York to Los Angeles twice, San Francisco to San Diego once, and New York to Miami 20+ times. The people I have met are fascinating.

    Absotively!
Nothing like the freedom of the open road, waking up somewhere different every morning, the feelig of always being moving, always free and drifting, the endless free hours of driving in which one can listen to records and talk with one's traveling companion.

Hell, it the road trip doesn't even have to be *Going* anywhere for me to enjoy it, just finding a big rounabout and making a three or four day trip around it is enough to tide me over temporarily.
