97 Corolla 118k slips out of 5th gear When this first started, the shift stick moved back/forth on acceleration/deceleration. I had the rear engine mount replaced, & tho the shift mvmt stopped, it still won't stay in 5th. Transmission or something else?

I definetly has the same prob. with '91 Corolla. Appart the 5th, the 2nd gear is also has started to move now, so I checked the front mount. It was totally broken, I renew it by polyurethane glue (better materinal than rubber). Getting better, but not solved it, so I put polyurethane to the rear ones too. However it seems to good condition, but moved so mutch, that I fill those original residual places in it by poly on the place (it was too difficault to disassembly). Now I waiting for the drying. I guess, if the engine let be moved so mutch in place- due to a bad mount- the transmission went wrong with time (wearing at the gear fixing/syncronizing parts).
