1) Look on some online forums, such as: http://www.answerbag.com/c_view/2631 http://bt.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/bt.cfg/php/enduser/cci/bt_catpage.php?p_sid=&cat_lvl1=760&cat_lvl2=854&cat_lvl3=1061&p_cv=3.1061&p_cats=760,854,1061 2) Some schools propose courses about this, for instance this one: "This programme is targeted towards technicians in the telecommunication industry and anyone aspiring to set up TV/Radio/mobile phone services retail shop. Candidates will acquire skills in repairing and servicing mobile devices such as hand phone, PDA or Computer CPUs using mobile technology." try applying for a job with a mobile phone company. they usually have very in depth training, tend to pay pretty well, have good benefits, etc. Most sites for the major carriers will probably have a link for job listings if you look. You could go to school, or do it for free while getting paid. Trust me, there's no better way to learn about fixing phones than to fix 40-50 of them per day, lol. try www.t-mobile.com/jobs. I'm sure there are many others.
