To me expensive is any entree that costs over $20.00 Splurged on my 20th anniversary back in May. It was at this fancy Japanese Steak House. I only had Saki so that kept the bill sort of reasonable. With the tip, the dinner was around $100 bucks which is a lot for 2 people I feel. If we would have sat at the hibachi tables and gotten the "show" bill would have probably been $20 bucks higher and we would not have gotten enough to eat. :-) Be the way, I am sunburned, not drunk. You can see what we ate, it was amazing.

I went to this restaurant down the seafront once, and i had a club sandwhich and a diet coke. It was the best sandwhich I'd ever eaten. The bill came to £50. Thankfully, I was 7, and didn't have to pay

Last summer, for my birthday and because I was going away for a while, I invited 6 of my close frinds out for dinner at a very nice place near us called Scruffy's, which is kind of mid-range as we're all poor students. I had fillet steak with blue cheese sauce plus starters, dessert and wine. My share would have come to about £45 ($90ish?) but then my friends began to remember how much money I owed them from forgetting to pay for bills and such over the last year... I (being rather drunk) just said "right, I'll pay it all". it came to £267 plus tip!!

My husband and I went to New Orleans a few years ago and ate at The Court of Two Sisters. It was amazing. We had the 4 course meal which ran us $50 a piece. It included soup, salad, main course, and dessert. I had the crawfish etouffe, a stuffed lobster tail, and creme brulee for dessert. We ate outside in the court, it was so beautiful and romantic. It was well worth the price. I had checked them out ahead of time and so I knew what we were going to pay and was prepared. Before we go anywhere, I always check out the restaurants and their menus so I'll have an idea of what the prices are and if there's something there my picking husband will eat.

$800 for 2 people in a Teppanyaki restaurant in Tokyo. The restaurant was at the top of a skyscraper and looked very posh, we did a currency convert from the menu outside and got the decimal point in the wrong place - thought it was $40 each - it was $400!! Good job we were on company expenses!
