An 80 year old woman once claimed that all women are golddiggers. Her reasoning: Primarily women want babies, therefore they are always interested in your paycheck. Anyone agree with her perspective?

All women don't want babies..so if that is her reasoning behind the statement "all women are golddiggers", then obviously she's wrong. You could also say all married women are prostitutes. That is equally untrue. You can make any claim you want and manipulate the conclusion to suppport your claim..doesn't make it true! :) Happy Monday! :)

yes. my bf's ex. used him got pregnant and left him for a girl. my bf's dad said shes a sperm robbing CUN* but im not anything like her, if something was to happen to my bf id be broken. Id do anything for him. I dont understand how and why anyone would hurt him.

I can see what she's saying. Most women want to be in a reliable relationship that will provide for her family. The word "golddiggers" is very subjective though!

By the same logic, all man are seducers, wanting to love 'em and leave 'em, and slavers wanting a domestic servant. All they want is to get as many women as possible pregnant, and to have their house kept for them. Any relationship involves a trade-off. Men and women want different things. But men want babies somewhat, though perhaps not as much (on average) as women. And women want sex as well as money. And both parties can bring either money or work to the partnership. Any couple has to have an agreement on these things - and it doesn't have to be the same agreement for every couple.

Disagree? Absolutely. A golddigger is one who marries solely for the purpose of obtaining either money, or the lifestyle a wealthy person can give them, or both. A woman who may consider the financial capabilities of a man to support her and any children they may have isn't necessarily a golddigger. She may just be looking at the practical reasons for marrying a particular man over another. Plenty of women are out there who do not marry with this in mind. I think this woman is another fine example of someone who makes broad, sweeping, stereotypical statements. Who knows why she thinks that way? Maybe because she's a golddigger and therefore thinks all women are, too?

She is assuming the man doesn't benefit from the children. Maybe her man didn't want the responsibility of the children. When I hear something like that, it makes me grateful that my man knows what ETERNAL VALUE is, and is happy to nurture and support it.

Her opinion is just that...her opinion. That statement reminds me of people who downrate other opinions simply because they don't mirror their own. It seems that they are so insecure in their own convictions that they can't abide different thinking. That 80 year old woman thinks that way, so in her mind, that's the way it is.

no disagree. I for one can't have children nor do I want to marry a rich man (just a semi rich one LOL).. I wouldn't know what to do with money that I could actually save for a rainy day. I do expect my man to be hard working and willing to help with the household finances. It is not my responsible to take care of him. I don't care if he makes $30,000 yr or $100,000 as long as he does his part..his part..meaning we do it together. Love doesn't always mean money. plenty of rich unhappy couples. I would rather be poor and happy

They have needs and to some degree I understand that there is going to be a fin. arrangement of sorts. I have run across many women that were married and well did me, it appears to me many women marry for the wrong reason I tend to attract married women and or women that have a suger daddy. I have no expectations from them and they give me well sex, I am not sure if I'll ever date again. Also where I live there is a massive drug problem and those women expect you to provide for them in that way I say no to that. However it seems almost all are using so I might have the best part of the deal the sex without supporting their habit. You can likely tell that I have given up on the dating scene. The ex was a killer she about got me, 1st husband dies in car wreck fell asleep behind the wheel, boy friend after him went to prison & mental institutions and She had the same thing done to me. You women are way dangerous cry and my entire world ends.
