Clothing, shoes, or educational... I like buying the fun stuff =o) But any gift from the granparents is appreciated

Since education, excellence, knowledge, achievement, intelligence seems to be out of vogue these days, dare I say educational without getting smacked down by someone? I always gave educational toys to my son when he was young and I always valued and preferred them to receive. I guess I'm out of fashion, out of touch, out there alone among the few that think learning is good thing. :( Many seem not to care one way or the other.
