Most definitely!

You know, I think I would. Will you be there? Can I wear a lab coat, 3-4 inch heels and glasses and put my hair up in a bun too? lol
-
and help them find my family faster... are you nuts???
-
Sure. My military time is almost up, are you looking to hire? :)
-
Already did...crunched over 50,000 workunits using the old seti@home 3.x clients when they were current. I just did it for the underground geek status of being on the stats page. The new BONIC setup sucks ass...no centralized stats page to point to boastfully proclaiming "This is where I (wasted electricity to rank) among all seti@home participants globally". I haven't done a single CPU cycle of work for them since.

Yes ... and I already have been using their background data analyzer screensaver since 1998, to download data packets of recorded radio "noise" and process them, looking for signs of logical patterns to the "noise" recorded by radio telescopes ...

If I had the time for it I would love to explore, understand and explain the origin, nature and prevalence of life in the universe so the SETI Institute would be great. Regards.
-
You bet I would..it would be an honor and a privilege. My main interest is Quantum Physics..but looking for intelligent life in other worlds? Who could resist? :)
-
i would it sounds fun
-
Oh yeah, in a heartbeat.
-
I'm not sure they'd be able to pay me as much as I earn now, but I would definitely jump at the chance if I were offered a position with them. I already donate to SETI annually. I believe in their mission.
-
I don't think so. Most of those get defunded as soon as they get a success. They appear to be there strictly as a sop to those who are interested.
-
If they paid well, why not? Hell, I'll take a job in Iraq if the pay and accommodations are good.
-
YES!! I believe in life on other planets and am very interested in astronomy and physics. It would be Awesome
