what sort of book?
-
Quite a bit actually. I think the Writers' Market is well over $60 and I bought that once.
-
It would depend on what I expect to find in that book and what I can afford. If I have big bucks, then I'll buy it no matter what it costs. If I don't, I'll wait till it hits the library and read it for free. :)

Depends on if it something that I really wanted to read. Usually the books I buy I expect them to be in the $30 range but I have had to pay much more for a lost school book for my kids, so it shouldn't matter at least I will read it and won't lose it.

Depends if ots one of my favourite authors the price wouldnt matter :)
-
It depends...If it's a good one... I would rather walk my way home than sacrifice a good book for a gallon...

Depends on the book. I think I had to pay $100 for a textbook for college. If a book has information that will earn me thousands of dollars, I'd easily pay a couple hundred if I have to. I wouldn't pay $20 for a paperback novel, though.

I think between $150.00-$200.00 maximum. I collect books...

I have quit buying books for the most part, but I have been know to pay as much as $125 for a textbook for my Grandson, but he was able to get a partial rebate at the end of the semester. I think the most I ever paid for a single book was $75.00.

The most I paid was sixty for an illustrated book on fairies, by Brian Froud. Another illustrated book, this one about the Devil, 45. If I really want the book, I'm prepared to pay the asking price, so I don't feel bad for buying used books for like three dollars.

The most I ever paid for a book was for an art reference book called Davenports. I think it was about $200, but they are totally sought after, I would expect I could still get over $125 for it. I'm not selling it however, I use it to find good deals on listed artists at estate sales.
