    Headgaskets have separate cooling and lubrication passages. A gasket that blows towards the outside edge will leak water into the combustion chamber but will not necessarily compromise your oil. Despite this, a weakened gasket will continue to take damage; replace it asap.

    Sounds like the head gasket is cracked. I don't envy you it's an expensive thing to replace if it can't be skimmed.

    Just try to get along

    cracked block: dependening where it is it could be not mixing in the oil but leaking in the clylinder. The motor is likely trash and or will be pxpensive to fix.
