  • Part of it is that we don't like to see the person who caused us pain in a happy state. She made me miserable, therefore SHE needs to be miserable. Another part is a continued investment of self in that ex-partner. She still has a part of you and you still feel like part of her is yours and how dare she give herself to someone else when you're not done yet! :) The best way to get over an ex is to get a new partner. This time, learn what it was about your ex that you didn't like and avoid those characteristics in your new partner.
  • I do not think that if a person moves on from someone and has not apparent interest in them anymore should they get jealous. If you move on from someone thats exactly what it is moving on, and part of the process consists of not getting jealous, and realistically you do nto ahve the right to get jealous of them if you are no longer with them. Jealousy is a bad thing when it comes to a relationship. It means a sign of insecurity. When you mention you do not want the person, apparently there are still some feelings in some manner that have not left you and you still want in your presence in the effect of being jealous of the ex. Sometimes love is hard to get rid of and sometimes in most cases you will always have some type of love for someone you were involved with, loving someone and caring for someone usually sticks in your heart if you have had past feelings for someone .
  • Have you ever waited or looked a LONG time for a parking space? Then when you're done doing whatever you need to do and you're about to leave your hard won parking space another car is already waiting to pull in as soon as you leave? You know you don't need the space anymore. Staying any longer might even make you late for something else; something important. Yet there can sometimes be this vague, illogical, yet real feeling of ownership, entitlement, and possessiveness as you give up the space. It's alright to have the feelings about your ex. Just remember that how you feel is NOT who you are.
  • When this occurs I feel the jealous individual still has some feelings(maybe strong feelings) for their former partner. Those feelings do not go away just because your not together anymore. For example, my ex-girlfriend is with someone else yet got jealous when I was speaking to other women. I know she still loves me and that is part of the reason she gets jealous. But then jealousy also has alot to do with how people feel about themselves, like low self-esteem and insecurity. If the jealous person is your ex do not stress it. Let the ex handle their own problems. If you are the jealous ex-partner you need to do some real soul searching and get to the root of your issues because their not just going to go away.
  • do you know that i have asked myself that question so many times. i just found out that my ex just became a father. i felt like my insides were ripped out and hung to dry. i dont love him but i did share 5 years of my life with him so he will always have a small piece of me. anyone who you love and touches your heart will stay with you. we are only human.
  • For me it's not Jelousy, it's hurt, knowing how she treated me and she had been seeing this guy behind my back and hooked up and moved in with him with a few days.
  • we feel as if they can not be happy with ssomeone else you start thinking why am i not like that? or did i even matter to him? are they duing the same stuff we used to do together? its jelousy and its bad for ur health. but have you realized jelously only comes when someone else is in their life. you finally start caring about them again when you didnt before. its a process. just remember your going to be with a partner sooner or later. ur worth more then thinking about someone that is in ur past.
  • Because you want them to still think youre the most amazing person on earth and cry to death.
  • I believe that in most cases, it's because the person is jealous that their ex found someone before they did.
